Grilling Season is finally here and to heat things up, here are some tips on how to up your BBQ game this season! Check out these tips on incorporating vacuum sealing into your grilling game before you throw those burgers, ribs, kebabs, or ears of corn on the grill this year.

  1. Keep Your Ingredients Fresh

When it comes to grilling, the food options are endless. You can cook up kebabs, burgers, fish, vegetables, ribs or chicken, and more! Almost anything tastes great after you’ve grilled it to perfection. If you hunt your own game, butcher your own meat, or harvest your own produce this is the perfect opportunity to serve up your own foods in a delicious way.

We always recommend using an Avid Armor vacuum sealer system to preserve your ingredients and keep them fresh until you are able to use them! Vacuum sealing fresh meat and produce can help keep them fresh up to 5 times longer than traditional storage methods.

Prep for your BBQ ahead of time, perfectly portion out your meat, add a marinade of your choice and seal it to keep it fresh until you’re ready to cook!

  1. Marinate in Minutes

Didn’t have time to prep your food? No problem! Instead of marinating your meats and veggies in the fridge overnight, prep your food in minutes with an Avid Armor vacuum sealing system. Just put your protein or vegetables in an Avid Armor vacuum canister or container with your marinade of choice, and use a vacuum sealer with an accessory port (we recommend the A420, A100, AVS7900, Maxima 2, or USV32) to run a canister or marinate function. We recommend running the function 2-3 times to make sure your food gets properly marinated.

And there you go! Your foods are now perfectly marinated in a matter of minutes versus hours and you’re ready to start grilling!

If you ever need to quickly marinate large items, like a rack of ribs, or a large quantity of food, we recommend checking out our Magic Vac Gastronorm container. It is perfect for commercial marinating in large quantities.

  1. Seal and Save For Later

After dinner if you have any leftovers, vacuum sealing your food helps keep it fresh until you’re ready to enjoy it again. All Avid Armor food storage bags are microwave friendly so when it comes time to reheat your leftovers, simply pierce the bag for venting purposes, and stick it in the microwave for your desired reheat time.

No matter what you’re grilling up this summer, Avid Armor can help you keep your food fresh until it’s ready for the BBQ, help you marinate your proteins or vegetables in minutes, or help you keep any leftovers fresh until you’re ready to eat them again!
