For apartments, one or two people, and the weekly meal prep. 12 x 12 x 6.25 in and 13 lb. Lift it with one hand, keep it in a cupboard between sessions, and seal soups, sauces and delicate food that a suction sealer can't.
A suction sealer pulls the air out through the open end of the bag, and liquid can follow it. A chamber sealer holds the whole bag inside the machine and takes the air out of the chamber, so the liquid stays in the bag and the seal holds.
Soups, sauces, brines, marinades and infusions seal airtight because the liquid is never pulled toward a suction port.
Berries, fish and fresh pasta come out whole instead of crushed.
The USV1 is the least expensive way into chamber sealing in our line, at $219.

Soups, sauces and marinades are the jobs a chamber sealer is made for.
If you seal a few dry items a month, a suction sealer may be all you need. The USV1 is for people who seal wet food, delicate food, or portion a lot of meals.
The USV1 is built for apartments, RVs, boats and kitchens where counter space is the constraint. It is small enough to live in a cupboard between sessions, and light enough to lift with one hand.

And what a chamber sealer adds

Bigger jobs, like bone-in cuts or bulk harvests, are what the USVX and the USV20 are built for. Pouches on the USV1 stop at 10 x 10 in. We cover the difference below.
The most common mistake on any chamber machine is a misaligned, half-sealed pouch. A pouch ledge and an integrated clamp are there to stop it.
The ledge puts the bag at the right height and the clamp holds it there while you close the lid.
Three vacuum levels and three seal time settings. Nothing to time.
One touch runs the cycle. Progress lights show where it is.

“I love this Vacuum Sealer so far! It does a wonderful job. My only frustration has been the availability of the 8X10 bags, which is the perfect size for this model.”
Barry B., verified buyer of the USV1. June 2026.8 x 10 pouches come in the USVX and USV1 variety pack (100 each of 10 x 10, 8 x 10 and 6 x 8) and in 250 count packs.
“I love it. It does a great job and is simple to use. Maybe a little too nice... as I now seem to buy more at the grocery store just so I have an excuse to use it.”
David K., verified buyer of the USV1. April 2026.“works great & super easy to use”

Keep your suction sealer for oversized cuts. The USV1 does not replace every sealer you own. Pouches stop at 10 x 10 in.
Who should skip it. If you seal a few dry items a month, or mostly very large cuts, or have no shelf or cupboard space for a machine, a chamber sealer is the wrong tool.
