Avid Armor vacuum sealer bags are BPA & BPS Free
May 21st 2016
BPA stands for bisphenol A. BPA is an industrial chemical found in hard plastics such as polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate plastics are often used in containers that store food and beverages, such as water bottles, baby bottles and sippy cups. BPS stands for bisphenal S. BPS has become increasingly popular as a substitute for BPA in plastics and epoxy resins. BPS has also been found to have comparable dangerous side effects as BPA.
The safest plastics for use with food are made from high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene, and polypropylene. Virtually all brand name food storage bags, vacuum sealer bags, vacuum pouches, sous vide bags and other plastic wraps are made with these plastics. Avid Armor bags and rolls are made from multiple layers of polyethylene and nylon.
We pledge to keep your food safe and are committed to making food safe bags that are free of BPA, BPS, phthalates and other plasticizers.
