Avid Armor Premium Glass Vacuum Food Containers – 3 Piece Airtight BPA-Free Set with Hose

This is my second set of premium glass vacuum food containers. Love them so much. They keep everything fresh inside the glass container. So easy to keep clean.

We are pretty obsessed with our vacuum sealer but have only used storage bags before trying this set of glass containers. Huge props to the designers for some great features like the male/female plug ends so it will work with nearly every vacuum sealer model out there. And the dial on top is great because it allows us to set the month and day the contents were vacuum sealed -- no need for labels or markers. Also, as shown in photos we attached, the center dot on the lid is popped up before container gets sealed but after sealing it collapses letting you know the sealing worked. Visual cues like that are helpful. Our only issue is size of the containers -- would be great to have had them much larger in size because leftovers here tend to be need more space. But we are 100 percent on board with the look of these containers -- especially the beautiful green lids that are very stylish and eye-catching. Can't wait till bigger containers are offered from this brand!

I like the Avid vacuum containers very much. You immediately notice the heavy weight glass and quality constructed tops – well worth the cost. The lid seals are very good and wrap from inside to over the top of the glass. Even the lids are pretty thick.

I wasn’t too familiar with Borosilicate glass so I looked it up. Borosilicate glass is a specialized glass known for low thermal expansion which allows it to withstand sudden temperature changes without cracking, has high resistance to thermal shock so it can handle very high temps, and is chemically durable, making it ideal for kitchen applications. It is nice the glass is microwave and dishwasher safe.

The kit comes with three containers, a vacuum hose with adapter, and detailed instructions. In multiple places in the instructions there are warnings that the plastic lids are not oven, microwave, or dishwasher safe.
The included hose fit perfectly into my vacuum sealer. The cap’s vacuum pressure indicator is easy to see, circle center down vacuum is good see pictures.

The containers are a little small; the largest being 7.7 x 5.6 x 3.4 and the glass sections nest stack but without the lids. The only minor complaint is the day and month indicators on the lid’s valve center cap. They each slide around way too easily so I wouldn’t rely on them to remain in place.

All in all very pleased.

I wanted to replace old plastic jars with glass. These are great as I can heat things up and when they cool put the lid on, vacuum them and put them in the refrigerator to keep them a little longer. I also marinade meat in the small bowl as it fits in the USV20.

Great containers....good variety in size. They work well and being made of thick glass will not crack and leak as every other vacuum sealed containers do, other than the plastic ones made by AVID ARMOR. These are good for saving leftovers, whereas the plastic ones are great for berries, salads, lettuce etc.

These are great. They're definitely heavy weight and the tops fit well, with good seals all around the inside and top of the glass. It's also really nice that the containers are made out of borosilicate glass which is made to withstand sudden temperature changes without cracking and has high resistance to thermal shock so utilizing these for hot liquids won't result in the container shattering.

The included hose fit perfectly into my Foodsaver vacuum sealer and it's a bonus that the caps have a vacuum pressure indicator. As a few of the other reviews have indicated, the containers aren't very big but are fine for my purposes...just pay attention to the sizes if you're looking for something bigger.

Overall, I would definitely buy again.

I regularly use marinades when cooking, and I've found that the best way to apply a marinate is by vacuum sealing the product with the marinade in either a sealing container or a vacuum bag. My sealer has an extension hose specifically for use with this type of container, and it works great. I've had steaks sealed in the container for a couple of hours and the seal remained perfect until I was ready to cook. The glass containers and heavy-duty and should work for years to come. The lids are also fairly well made and as long as they are cared for properly, should have a long life as well.

My only "complaint" is that the size of the containers is somewhat small for my needs. I really wish that the larger container was about double its current size, which would make it much more versatile.

Based upon my experiences so far, I would order this again.

Really high quality especially when compared with the alternatives. The only downside is the mechanism for the date doesn't stay put it just slides around. So it's kinda pointless to rely on that for anything. It provides a great seal and works very well outside of that.
