Oil Chamber Vacuum Sealer Tips & Tricks | Avid Armor Euro Series ES41

GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR EURO SERIES ES41:

Here are some helpful tips and tricks, so you can get the most out of your ES41 Chamber Vacuum Sealer!

OPERATING YOUR SEALER:

• Do not use the lid lock when operating the sealer so the lid can automatically open when the cycle is complete. If the lid cannot automatically open, you will get an error message.
  
  
• CAUTION: Do not put your head directly above the sealer when the lid automatically opens at the end of a cycle. Injury could occur.
• To adjust the vacuum or seal time settings, press the button to toggle between the two settings. Press and briefly hold the +/- buttons to adjust the time. A seal time of 1.0 is recommended when using Avid Armor pouches.
  
  
• To abort a vacuum and seal cycle, press the - / STOP button on the control panel. The pump will stop, air will return to the chamber, and the lid will release. The pouch will not be sealed.
  
  
• To interrupt the vacuum cycle and immediately go into the seal cycle, press the + / STOP VACUUM button on the control panel. 
  
  
  

GENERAL VACUUM SEALING:

• Leave at least 3 inches of headspace on the bag to ensure a positive, wrinkle-free seal.
  
  
• Always lay the opening of the bag over and tucked behind the seal bar. Never place the opening of the bag outside the chamber.
  
  
• Smaller items will need a higher vacuum time setting than larger items which occupy more space in the chamber.
  
  
• Use the filler plate when vacuum sealing smaller items in order to get a tighter vacuum, or to reduce the needed vacuum time. 
  
  

VACUUM SEALING LIQUIDS:

• When vacuum sealing liquids such as soups, stews, and marinades, only fill the bag half way full or less, to prevent overflowing in the chamber.
  
  
• Do not use the filler plate in order to allow the liquids to naturally flow downwards with the slope of the chamber.
  
  
• Liquids should only be vacuum sealed when they are at room temperature or cooler. Liquids that are still warm will create excess vapors which can result in a poor vacuum.
  
  
• It may be necessary to increase vacuum time when sealing liquids to effectively eliminate trapped air pockets. 

MAINTAINING YOUR SEALER:

 IMPORTANT: 
 It is critical to do regular maintenance on your Avid Armor ES41 chamber vacuum sealer to keep your sealer running at peak performance  and ensure a very long pump life. 

• Regularly check the oil level to ensure there is an adequate amount of oil to operate the sealer.
  
  
• Regularly run the Pump Conditioning Program. This will keep the internal components of the pump lubricated and remove any moisture or condensation that collects in the tubing and oil. Failure to do so will damage the pump.
  
  
• If the sealer will not be used for a long period of time following heavy use, it is advised to run the Pump Conditioning Program prior to storing it away.
  
  
• It is advised to change the oil approximately every six months or if oil becomes cloudy or discolored to ensure the sealer runs at peak performance.
  
  
• ACCIDENTS HAPPEN: If any spills happen directly inside the chamber, it is important to clean the area thoroughly using a damp, soft cloth to prevent damage to the machine.
