PRO TIPS from Southpond Outdoors: When in Doubt, Pull Another Bag Out!

If you process a lot of wild game like me, you probably seal a lot of meat with rigid bone edges. The rigid bones can easily puncture a bag that has been tightly vacuum sealed onto the bone. Even the slightest puncture in the freezer can cause a failed seal and end up ruining your food. Whenever I am in doubt, I ALWAYS double bag it! Seal it like you normally would in one vacuum bag, then put that sealed bag into another bag and vacuum seal it again. That way, there is always double protection in case the first bag is punctured. Keep it fresh and #eatwildyall
