Spring Clean your freezer and say good bye to freezer burn!

Spring Clean your freezer and say good bye to freezer burn!

Apr 18th 2018

Spring has sprung, and it's the time of year we start cleaning out closets and purging the old. This spring, make sure you add your refrigerator and freezer to your cleaning list. Sometimes we collect things in our freezer that over time, turn into unidentifiable objects! They get thrown in the back of the freezer inside a zipper baggie and then we all know what happens... they are forgotten about and then dreaded freezer burn sets in!

Does this look all too familiar?

This is where making a vacuum sealer a part of your normal kitchen routine, can be a huge time saver and money saver. Vacuum sealing your bulk grocery purchases, left overs, meals you prep, and food you harvest, will ensure your food won't turn into unidentifiable objects. In fact, vacuum sealing your food will keep it for months, if not years longer than traditional zipper storage bags and prevent it from tasting like it's been in the freezer for that long.

This is what your freezer could look like! All of these foods have been stored in the freezer for at least a year, if not longer.

Vacuum sealed food can help keep your freezer organized

Vacuum sealing your food can be an effective way to keep it organized so you never have to 'Spring Clean' the freezer. As an added tip, use a permanent marker to add the sealed date so you never forget how old it may be.
